Intuitive abstract greeting cards—what to expect
Like to sling paint, alcohol ink, blossoming rich color around? Feeling a bit uptight? This process of making cards is the antidote to worry and anxiety.
Materials are provided. We use watercolor paper, tape, paint, colored pencils, oil pastels, watercolors and intense pigments in one big hash. We painlessly learn a bit about color theory, too. We dry the works and then rearrange them into stunning show pieces on greeting cards you’ll be proud to send to those you love. Each person will be able to make two to three cards, depending on time availability.
The instructor for this class is Cyla Allison. Cyla kept the flame of creativity simmering throughout her career. She combines her teaching skills and art knowledge to help each individual make the most of the experience. She has two Master’s degrees, A Ph.D. and a post-doctoral degree. She taught high school for nine years; was a psychologist in private practice for 25 years; a horsewoman for 35 years and now an artist for the last 18 years. Always an autodidact, she shares the fun and the knowledge inherent in art.
