Jacque Minarik is a local artist and educator. She studied Painting and Printmaking at Virginia Tech and received her Master’s in Art Education from Virginia Commonwealth University. Jacque is from Richmond, VA where she lived and taught art for the past 25 years. She is an active member of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, serving on the Teacher’s Advisory Council. She currently resides in Greenbrier County where her hobbies include: restoring an 1800’s farmhouse, gardening, antiquing, yoga, hiking, coffee, and creating art! Jacque is an International Rotary Scholar and has completed 200 hours of yoga teacher training. She studied Asian Art in Japan and that remains one of her favorite memories and serves as an inspiration for much of her current work. Jacque believes, “Art is so important because it helps you process everything in your world and allows you to relax and ponder/process your ideas in your brain. It is also a time for reflection.” One of her favorite aspects of art is that you can spread hope and joy when you make art and share it. She is excited to share yoga and art with you!
